Dr. Ning FAN
Founder, Health In Action
Dr. Fan, a hepatobiliary surgeon, is the founder of “Health in Action,” an organization dedicated to promoting health equity in Hong Kong. He has developed new primary care models including: community pharmacy services, transdisciplinary service models to tackle the challenges of chronic-illness pandemics and promote health in all policies to encourage trans-sector collaboration. Dr. Fan now focuses on works related to physical environment and successfully lobbied Hong Kong government to adopt the extended healthy living space model developed by Caritas and Health In Action as ‘Communal Living Space’ in 18 districts. He joined “Happy Ageing Lab” with building professionals to explore various community-based models for inter-generational living in future.

Patrick FUNG
CEO, Clean Air Network
Patrick Fung is the CEO of non-profit Clean Air Network. Since 2016, Patrick led Clean Air Network to spearhead public engagement programme to arouse conversation and actions on improving walkability, transport management and zero emission mobility in Hong Kong. Under Patrick’s leadership, Clean Air Network has developed extensive collaboration with the air science, public health, urban planning professionals, and civil, international and business community. He currently serves in the steering committee of non-profit Walk DVRC, and was appointed by the HKSAR Government as expert member of the Air Quality Objectives Review Working Group during 2016-18 and 2022-23.

Founder, Tony Ip Green Architects Ltd.
Dr. Tony Ip is a community-centric, sustainable design architect and urban designer. He founded Tony Ip Green Architects “TiP” with a vision to advocating the paradigm shift towards green architecture and biophilic urban-scape in response to climate change. He holds BEng, MSc(Eng), MArch & MUrbanDesign from HKU, BBE(Arch) from QUT, MSt IDBE from University of Cambridge, and PhD from PolyU. He serves as Vice Chairman of Professional Green Building Council, Director of Hong Kong Green Building Council, Director of CIC Zero Carbon Building, Council Member of Hong Kong Institute of Architects, and Director of YMCA of Hong Kong.

Engineering Director, Kins Engineering
Wilson Ip is the Engineering Director at Kins Engineering Limited, where he oversees the local production workshop and leads the research and development efforts for the company’s flagship product, the Fresh Air Unit (FAU). He is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) Young Entrepreneur Committee (YEC) and the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE). Wilson has worked on major projects such as the HKUST and CAN IAQ research , TAL Appeal Group, South China Textile engineering consultancy, SINO Group air-side retrofit consultancy, CUHK, TradeLink, Kader, among others.

Prof. Alexis LAU
Head and Chair Professor Division of Environment, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
Prof. Lau currently serves as the Head and Chair Professor of the Division of Environment and Sustainability at HKUST. He also has joint appointment as Chair Professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Director of the Institute for the Environment at HKUST. His original research specialized in data analysis and modeling of air quality (AQ), weather and climate. More recently, his focus is more on the interdisciplinary research relating total air exposure and health, climate adaptation and resilience, and the development of net-zero tools for decarbonization including block chain-based carbon tracking systems and new green finance instruments.

Dr. Harry Lee, OBE, SBS, JP, is the Chairman of TAL Apparel, with over 20,000 employees in Southeast Asia. He graduated from Imperial College in 1964 and obtained a Doctorate Degree from Brown University in USA. Dr Lee is currently the Honorary Chairman of Textile Council of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Garment Manufacturer’s Association, the Advisor and Chairman Emeritus of the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textile & Apparel, the Chairman of the Committee of Overseers of Lee Woo Sing College of the Chinese University, as well as the Chairman of Tradelink Electronic Commerce Limited.

Director of Sustainable Design, Ronald Lu & Partners
MK Leung is Director of Sustainable Design of Ronald Lu & Partners (RLP Asia), and Principal Behaviourist of RLP Asia’s insight partner, Behave. His team has delivered numerous high-profile projects, including CIC – Zero Carbon Park, a vertical campus for THEi, Treehouse – the firm’s winning entry in the inaugural Advancing Net Zero Ideas Competition, and many consultancy studies on low-energy residential building design, infrastructure design and construction under extreme temperatures, sponge city design, and others. MK was awarded SIA-Uniseal G-Architect Laureate in 2014 by the Singapore Institute of Architects.

Prof. Yuguo LI
Chair Professor of Building Environment, the University of Hong Kong
Yuguo Li is a Chair Professor of Building Environment at HKU. Current research topics include city climate, resilient cities, and environment studies of infection. His study revealed the roles of airflows in the 2003 Amoy Garden SARS outbreak, and the dominance of short-range airborne route. He has collaborated with Hong Kong Governmental departments and Guangdong CDC, and studied the transmission routes of SARS-CoV-2. He is a member of the WHO IPC GDG. He serves as the founding editor-in-chief of Indoor Environments. He received the Pettenkofer Award and Guanghua Engineering Award.

Prof. Zhi NING
Professor, Institute of Environment, Division of Environment and Sustainability, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
Prof. Zhi Ning’s research interests cover the urban air quality, environmental monitoring technologies, with a focus on application of micro sensor air science, environmental management, community engagement and public health assessment.

Melville Peter PRADHAN
Project Manager, Clean Air Network
Melville is currently leading the “Clean Air Schools for Hong Kong” project, a flagship initiative aimed at monitoring air quality in numerous schools across Hong Kong. In collaboration with Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), the project involves the installation of professional air quality monitors, generating real-time data to empower the school community with valuable insights. The primary goal is to enhance awareness and foster Clean Air Actions within schools. With over 15 years of diverse experience in both the humanitarian and corporate sectors, Melville’s expertise spans community development and health promotion in countries like India and Cambodia.

Christina TANG
Director, Blue Sky Energy Technology
Christina Tang is the Director of Blue Sky Energy Technology, a technology firm which specializes in connected sensors, data analytics, and digital behavioral change solutions. Blue Sky enables corporations to improve their environmental sustainability performance and stakeholder engagement with traceable data. Currently, Christina is a committee member of the Energy Advisory Committee and the Advisory Council on the Environment for the Government of the Hong Kong SAR. She has also represented Hong Kong China APEC Energy Working Group to present. Before founding Blue Sky, Christina was a management consultant at Bain and served as a Global Fellow with Acumen.

Melanie YUEN
Associate, DLA Piper
Melanie Yuen is an Associate in the Employment team, based in DLA Piper’s Hong Kong office. Melanie has experience in working for multinational and local corporations on a variety of contentious, non-contentious and advisory employment work. Her non-contentious work includes but is not limited to employment contracts, policies and handbooks; hiring; termination; employee safety and health in the workplace; employment discrimination; etc. In particular, she had worked on a number of projects which involved cross border elements, such as handling global contract review exercise etc. for international corporations. For contentious work, she has also advised on a number of employment disputes, such as termination, discrimination etc.
