Clean Air Neighborhood (2023-2025)

Context

In Hong Kong, policies related to air quality are implemented territory-wide. In view of the differences in urban planning, development, and traffic flow among the 18 districts in Hong Kong, “Clean Air Neighborhood” hopes to use regional research to develop good air policies based on regional needs so that communities can. There are more options in different aspects to improve air quality.

Purpose

“Clean Air Neighborhood” organizes a citizen participation program for the Healthy Air Initiative to allow citizens to understand the impact of air on health and the environment, enhance public awareness and awareness of air pollution, and promote discussions on air issues among different stakeholders in the community. Work together to build good air communities and propose regional strategies for cleaner air.

Programme Engagement

The project will organize workshops with different themes in phases in areas such as Tuen Mun, Sham Shui Po and Kwun Tong, allowing people from different communities, such as caregivers, environmentalists, elders, teenagers, etc., to conduct on-site inspections of the air quality and the source of pollution allows all stakeholders to imagine what a community with good air is. With these visions in mind, a Community Advisory Panel was established with experts to further analyze and provide opinions on air pollution data.
