BSOMES Seminar & Workshop on Indoor Air Quality Management

Achieving superior indoor air quality (IAQ) is a collaborative effort, and property management plays a pivotal role in maintaining the air we breathe every day.

As a supporting organization, we were honored to participate in the Seminar & Workshop on Indoor Air Quality Management, organized by the Building Services Operation and Maintenance Executives Society (BSOMES) on May 7. The seminar resonated strongly with housing management professionals, who highlighted the session’s practical value. Participants specifically noted that the insights provided them with actionable strategies to enhance indoor air quality standards within their managed properties.

During the seminar, Dr. Daniel Ng, Founding President of the The Hong Kong Society of Paediatric Respirology and Allergy (HKSPRA), and CAN Board Advisor highlighted how poor IAQ threatens the health and holistic development of children, reminding us that IAQ is a critical issue that affects everyone. The seminar also featured sustainable design architect Ar. Dr. Tony Ip, who shared the unique challenges and opportunities in green architecture by showcasing his exemplary architectural works. Our CEO Fiona Chan delivered an opening address, providing a clear direction and setting a high standard for the sessions ahead. Last but not least, our Senior Programme Development Manager, Melville Pradhan, gave an overview of the local IAQ landscape while pinpointing key strategies to equip the industry with better management practices.

Clean air is for all, and it requires everyone’s effort. Together, through our common goals, we can build a better indoor environment for everyone.

We would like to express our gratitude to the organizer, BSOMES and all the supporting organizations (listed below) for their joint dedication and support.
