Life planning and green jobs with the young students of Harrow International School
On 9 June, our CEO Patrick Fung visited Harrow International School Hong Kong to talk about green careers to around 100 Year 5 School students.
First he introduced his own experiences at Clean Air Network, where his work includes policy advocacy, media appearances to explain environmental topics to the public, organizing promotional campaigns to promote clean air to explain what jobs exist in a Non-Governmental Organisation.

He also emphasized how broad green jobs can be, listing examples of green architecture and engineering, in which buildings are built with the environment in mind from the beginning; as well as green finance, where investment is directed towards sustainable businesses.
He also raised another example of green jobs in arts and entertainment, such as carbon auditing of the band Coldplay’s tour to introduce unexpected opportunities where work and environmentalism can go hand in hand.
Introducing life planning to students early can broaden their horizons and help them explore a diverse range of occupations in their future.
