Academic study: how energy efficiency and IAQ can both be improved in building retrofit (2021)

A case study on the co-benefit on energy saving and indoor air quality in building retrofit. Retrofitting the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system decreased energy consumption by 50%, while PM10, NO2, CO concentrations were maintained below the WHO recommended levels. The financial payback period was about 3.5 years.
