Every breath we take is the key to life’s power!
Did you know we spend 90% of our time indoors? Air quality is crucial for health, especially for children and the elderly, who are more sensitive to pollution.
Self-Development Centre, Community Services Centre for Children, and The Bridge+ Cultural Space joined the pilot program at the end of last year!
The “Breathe Hong Kong” initiative tackles indoor air pollution with a goal of raising HKD 200,000 to support 20 organizations! We offer a free month of air quality monitoring for schools, NGOs, and families in need.

The team is excited to be part of this project, and we also invite other colleagues to review the air quality report to deepen their understanding of indoor air pollution and the environment of the center.

Due to limited resources and a lack of measuring instruments, it has been difficult to understand how to improve indoor air quality. I often feel that the air is not circulating well, but since participating in the project, I have gained a better understanding of the air quality issues in the center.

The reason for participating in the project is curiosity about whether the exhibition will affect air quality during the setup period. Since I also pay attention to air quality before and after the exhibition, this project enhances my awareness of air quality and plans to improve indoor air quality through increased ventilation.
As one of the top global health emergencies, air pollution is a growing challenge to public healthcare systems in highly urbanised areas including Hong Kong.
