Thank you for parent and children supporting our Mini-triathlon for Clean Air sports camp.
Both the parents and young participants enjoyed the outdoor physical training on the large green field. Professional coaches taught the basic skills playing netball and cricket to the kids. Running around, catching balls and improving peer interaction allow children to enhance their interest in sports.
The sports camp aimed to encourage asthma kids participating in outdoor physical activities with their full potentials. There are no reasons to stop them playing sports or working out because health professionals already recognize asthma children can benefit from sports with careful management.
Team members of Clean Air Network also arranged a few morning talks after sports training sessions. We shared knowledge about air pollution and its link to air pollution. Parents have a deeper understanding of clean air, how important it is to children health.
The little triathlons received certificates for their full participation in the sports camp. The coaches and we were so happy to see their smiling faces.
The Mini-triathlon is first-ever summer sports camp co-organized by Clean Air Network, The Hong Kong Asthma Society, The Hong Kong Society of Paediatric Respirology and Allergy and the Hong Kong Cricket Club.
